Eyelash Repair and Removal
It’s been three or four weeks since you received your lash extensions treatment. Your natural lashes are starting to fall out and along with them, your fabulous lash extensions. You notice that the volume is noticeably reducing. Drop right into our studio for a refill and repair. Don’t pick at them, cut them or attempt to remove them yourself. This could cause some serious damage to your lashes. If you decide to return to your natural lashes, you can opt to wait for all of them to shed naturally or make and appointment and come to our studio and have a licensed aesthetician remove them for you.
After disinfection, an under-eye gel pad is placed underneath your lower eyelashes to protect your skin. We will place two micro brush applicators in the remover paste. The paste will not irritate your skin like typical gel removers. The paste is placed onto both sets of eyelashes from where the lash extensions join your eyelashes. It will sit for about 2 minutes. A pair of tweezers is then used in a sweeping motion, away from the eyes. Lash extensions removed, we pass the tweezers over your lashes to pick up any adhesive build up. The final step involves rinsing and drying of your eye area.
How Long Will My Extensions Last?
The luster in your luscious lash extensions will be dependent on the growth cycle of your natural eyelashes. The growth cycle usually lasts between six to eight weeks. Everyone’s lashes grow at different rates. If you are wearing volume extensions, by the 3-week mark you might notice some lashes have fallen out. You are welcome to come in to get a refill. If you are wearing individual eyelash extensions you can come in 2-3 weeks after your treatment. There is also an option of waiting for all the lashes to shed before scheduling a full set.
Most of our clients love how their eyes looks and visit our studio 2-3 weeks for treatments, maintenance and retouch applications. We clean and refill lashes at your request. If you cannot make it into the studio as often as you would like, your aesthetician will provide you with some tips and tricks to get the most out of your lashes. After the eyelash extension application, we give post care and maintenance tips to our ladies. We stock hypoallergenic products to help your natural lashes grow healthy and strong. Our eyelash growth serum is a customer favorite. Pick it up next time you drop in.
Post Care is Key
There are some mixed reviews online about eyelash extensions. There are both success stories and not so great stories of people’s experiences. One thing the success stories have in common is they practice to their post care routine. You should be aware that 48 hours after the eyelash application, your extensions will be vulnerable to water, moisture and oil. We advise you to avoid them. Your lashes will need to cure for approximately 48 hours. After the curing process is complete, clean your face gently. Splashing your face with water and cleaning around your eyes with care is recommended.
